Mark wins tonight in the Rowdy game!

Yesterday was so hot in my house that I could not have sat by the computer to write. The way my desk sits, the computer tower is under my desk and produces quite a bit of heat.  My blog would have been crabby and complaining of being hot.

I hear one of the dogs (Rowdy) playing his game for the night, so I will let you know who gives in first. To refresh your memory, Rowdy scratches on the glass, waits, then scratches on the screen;  each one produces a different sound. I think he does that just to make sure we (Mark and I) hear him.

Today was my day off so as usual I did not do much. It was pretty hot all day and I was sleepy all day so that meant a lazy day. That is one reason I like to go to the sale for Saddlebred Rescue as it gets me out of the house and I have something to do. Pat was able to place 4 horses this week so as soon as they leave we will be going back to the sale. I would be going next Monday, but unless the conference in Nashville is canceled, Mark and I will be there. I have heard that Opryland has 6 feet of water in the hotel so I am not sure how the convention can go on. If it is canceled, then I am sure Pat and I will be on our way to get some horses.

I am sure there will be some big changes in my life in the near future and I am just like the horses and do not like a change in my routine. Who knows what is going to happen, so I will try and not worry about things I cannot change.

As I write tonight I am happy to report that it has really cooled down a bunch and I am no longer sweating like a race horse. I know the saying is sweating like a pig, but pigs do not sweat and only horses and humans sweat all over their whole body, so I changed my saying to be a little more accurate.

Mark was at a meeting tonight and I decided to not get involved with the politics around here so I will not be attending any group meetings. That seems to be the only way I can keep from getting riled up.  So that is what I am doing.  Trying to behave.

I wish the damn dog would just come through the dog door.

I wish I had a crystal ball so I could see the future.

I wish I had a time machine so I could change the past.

I am THANKFUL for the cool temps  tonight.

I will be letting the dog in.

Mark you won tonight!
