The activities we have done in the first three years we have been in New Jersey.
We have an Open House at least once a year that is designed to feature our
students on lesson horses or their own show horses. The Open House is open
to the public with entertainment, food and music. Come and join us at our
next Open House. The dates and time will be posted under NEWS when it is
scheduled.
:: 4-H demonstrations at Sussex County Fair Grounds and at our stable
to practice for breed judging. We offer free clinics for 4-H on a limited
basis.
:: Equitana USA in Louisville Ky. We participated in Mane Event,
did breed demonstrations, and did question and answer sessions at the breed
booth for 3 years.
:: Equine Affair in West Springfield Mass. Our stable was invited
to participate in the breed demonstrations for Equine Affair.
:: Blairstown Memorial Day Parade. NWS participated in the Memorial
Day parade and enlisted the help of our Youth Group the North Stars. The
North Stars
did a choreographed routine dressed as American Saddlebreds and riders.
Horses and riders participating in event were A Magic Surprise with owner
Pat Johnson of Blairstown, Aquarian Brandy with Kira Race of Blairstown,
MC Jalita
with Devin Race of Blairstown, CH Star Track with Jessica
Moctezuma of Hardwick, BF Magic OšLee with Jason Molback of Hardwick, Hackney
pony Domino presented by Mark McCracken of Hardwick and combined driving
representative The Lady Stella with Susan and Adam Skipper of
Hardwick. Great fun was had by all culminating in the NWS group being presented
with the trophy for Best Equestrian Unit.
:: Participate in the Academy division at horse shows. Academy is
for people who take lessons and do not own their own horse. The horses are
owned by the stable and used for lessons. This is a great way to participate
in
shows without owning your own horse.
:: North Star Youth Group. This group is free to anyone under 18
who rides at North Wind Stables.
